When we received Ana's request last year, our team immediately set up a special task force. Considering the frigid winters in southern Chile (which make operation difficult for drivers wearing thick gloves) and the local bilingual usage scenario of Spanish and English, we repeatedly adjusted and optimized the voice recognition model. After 6 iterations of improvements, we finally achieved precise bilingual recognition in Spanish and English – simply speaking commands like "Start charging", "Charge to 80%", or "Pause charging" to the pile triggers an immediate screen response, with a recognition accuracy rate of 98%.
Last month, during a heavy snowstorm, Ana sent a video: a driver wearing two layers of thick gloves said "Charge 50 kWh" to the charging pile in Spanish, and the screen instantly jumped to the charging progress page. The driver gave a "thumbs-up" to the camera. Ana said, "Now you can often hear drivers 'talking' to the charging piles at the station. Even elderly drivers can operate them easily. Many nearby charging stations have come to inquire about the purchasing channel for this model."
It took us 4 months from demand collection to product launch. Watching our products solve practical problems for drivers in the freezing southern Chile, every member of the team feels that all efforts are worthwhile. After all, a good product should hide warmth in the details and adapt to the real needs of different regions.
